Fashion

“You can never be overdressed or overeducated” - Oscar Wilde Fashion. Trend. Style. What does it all even mean nowadays? Clothes, shoes, accessories… I just love it all. And if you’re on Lifestylepop, you do too. As Ralph Lauren said “Style is very personal. It has nothing to do with fashion. Fashion is over quickly. Style is forever.” Fashion is an artform, it is a way to portray history through the ages. The same way renaissance painters like Raphael and Michelangelo portrayed the history of the 14-17th Centuries and challenged social norms and formed public opinion, similar to the way impressionism was considered radical and was in fact formed in rebellion against the known classic artform of the time, fashion is also breaking walls and defying ideals. This leads many people to radicalize certain shows and trends that the fashion World portrays and compare it to daily life. And even though any modern artform whether it is music, film or fashion influences the society we live in, it is not always created for implementation. Fashion should be admired as an art of its own.

“To me, clothing is a form of self-expression- there are hints about who you are in what you wear” – Marc Jacobs Ready to wear on the other hand is a tool to be utilized daily, within personal style.
